German courses for groups and school classes
Travel to Hamburg with your class; many say this is the most beautiful city in Germany. TANDEM Hamburg organises a tailor-made German language course for your group and a varied leisure and cultural programme. This way, your participants will experience the German language and culture while having a lot of fun. This is the perfect addition to your school lessons.
Here is our offer for you:
Your German language course
Your group will experience lively authentic language lessons in small level groups of up to 15 people. Your language course runs over 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week. Through varied and playful teaching methods, everyone is quickly immersed in the German language and can actively use and improve their German skills.
If you are looking for special content or focus for your group, or if you would like a different number of lessons, we will be happy to arrange this for you! At the end of the course, everyone receives a certificate of participation.
Your culture and leisure activities
A varied cultural and free-time programme awaits your school class:
We send the group on our Hamburg Rallye, which we offer on specific topics. Here everyone can discover the city in a playful way and has the opportunity to use and refine their language skills "in real life".
Sports and social activities are also on the programme. Depending on the weather and your interests, we go canoeing together on the Alster, have a barbecue on the Elbe beach, play bowling or beach volleyball, or meet for climbing or games and sports.
The group will visit museums such as the Miniaturwunderland, the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial or the Ballinstadt emigration museum.
We are happy to organise day trips (at weekends) to and into the Wadden Sea, to Berlin or to Lübeck, followed by a trip to the Baltic Sea. Or would you prefer to go to Bremen, followed by a visit to the magnificent Klimahaus in Bremerhaven?
The topics of the activity programme will be prepared and followed up in class.

Your accommodation
We organise accommodation in single or double rooms with German private individuals, with or without board.
All accommodation is personally selected by us. Our friendly and open-minded landlords, some are single, others are families with children, are happy to welcome guests from all over the world. The equipment in the accommodation is functional but cosy, towels are provided. Our accommodation is easily accessible by public transport.
We book accommodation for accompanying persons as requested, usually in single rooms with breakfast in a centrally located *** hotel.
Of course, it is also possible to accommodate your students in shared rooms in centrally located hostels. One hostel we are happy to work with is a youth hostel close to the school, the Jugendherberge auf dem Stintfang, a very modern building that offers, among other things, a wonderful view of Hamburg harbour and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
Further services and contact
We are happy to meet you and your group at the Hamburg airport or train station.
All participants receive daily, weekly or monthly tickets for public transport in Hamburg (HVV) during their stay with us.
