German for nursing staff

Our course “German for Nursing Staff from Language Level B1” is specifically aimed at nursing departments in hospitals, clinics, and retirement homes that are looking for a job-related German course for their new international employees.

The German course helps nursing staff to build on their existing German language skills in a targeted manner and to communicate confidently in their everyday working lives. At the same time, it serves as thorough preparation for the recognition course.

Our course helps your institution to provide international nursing staff with the best possible language training and to integrate them into your team in the long term. We accompany your employees' learning process in a transparent and structured manner: at the beginning, we evaluate and document their respective language level, and in the middle and at the end of the course, we evaluate their learning progress.

This gives you a reliable basis for ensuring that your employees are able to meet the language requirements of the recognition course and are well prepared for their professional work.

We have developed a tailor-made curriculum for our specialist language courses for nursing staff and have been successfully teaching German in this field for several years. Our language trainers hold additional qualifications in German for the care sector and for medical professions.

Target group

International nursing staff with a language level of B1 or higher who need to prepare for the recognition course in terms of language skills.

Course content

The lessons are practical and based on everyday working life in clinics and nursing facilities. Our German course places particular emphasis on confident, professional communication, correct technical terminology, and cultural sensitivity:

• Technical vocabulary in nursing and medicine
• Communication with patients and their relatives
• Handover discussions and interdisciplinary communication
• Nursing documentation and written reports
• Anamnesis discussions and counseling situations
• Everyday language
• Pronunciation training

• Grammar teaching in the context of everyday nursing

Our intensive German courses for nursing staff consist of four lessons per day and run for 8 weeks ( = 160 lessons).

Lessons take place daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

You can join ongoing courses at any time after taking a placement test and attending a preliminary interview.
